  • (26/05) The first edition of our workshop GeNeSy(Generative Neuro-Symbolic AI) was a great success at the ESWC 2024 conference. Many thanks to my co-organizers Jacopo, Jongmo and Filip for the fantastic collaboration as well as to all the authors, speakers, and attendees in Greece for making it unforgettable.
  • (18/06) Attending the Knowledge Graphs and Ontologies for Intelligence, Defence and Security Symposium at at Cheltenham Racecourse, UK and presenting poster titled Towards a Standardised Data Documentation Format for Cultural Heritage Collections.
  • (15/06) Our short paper Bringing Back Semantics to Knowledge Graph Embeddings : An Interpretability Approach has been accepted for the Neural-Symbolic Learning and Reasoning (NeSy) conference! The work was led by our intern Antoine Dominques.
  • (14/06) Blog post summarizing our work on the Measurement of Semantic Drift in Discourse on Disabilities in the context of the MuseIT project available now.
  • (10/06) Presenting a poster titled Croissant: Fostering Responsible AI with a Standardized Data Documentation Format at the 2024 Informatics Research showcase at the Great Hall in King’s College London.
  • (21/04) Our paper on the Croissant metadata standard has been accepted for presentation at the DEEM workshop co-located with SIGMOD 2024, preprint available here.
  • (27/04) Attended the 4th MuseIT Consortium Meeting from 24 to 26 April being held at the St Cecilia’s Hall in Edinburgh and Traquair House near Innerleithen, one of the oldest Scottish castles!
  • (06/03) Happy to announce the official launch of Croissant, a new metadata format for ML-ready datasets alongwith the first version of the Responsible AI (RAI) vocabulary.

2023

  • (01/12) I will be in New Orleans attending the premier AI conference NeurIPS 2023 from 10-16 December, looking forward to an enriching and exciting week of state-of-the-art research showcases, meetings and presenting our ongoing work on Croissant metadata standard at the Google booth!
  • Attending the First Multimodal AI Research Sprint at the Alan Turing Institute in London on 22 November and presenting our pitch on Semantic Interpretations of Multimodal Embeddings towards Explainable AI.

  • (04/11) I am excited to join the OC of the Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) 2024 as the Sponsorship Co-Chair, alongside Jan-Christoph Kalo! Many thanks to the General Chair Albert for the wonderful opportunity and looking forward to the experience.

  • (4/11) Attending the International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC) 2023 being held from November 6-10 in Athens, Greece. Excited to be finally attending ISWC in person, and to present our resource paper on Polifonia Ontology Network in the main conference as well as the winning entry for the LM-KBC Challenge this year!
  • (22/10) The MuseIT Consortium Meeting was organized by Catalink from 18 to 20 October in Nicosia, Cyprus. It was wonderful meeting the project colleagues in person and sharing our ongoing research tasks.
  • (13/10) * (13/10) Today I have successfully defended my PhD Thesis titled “Representation and Curation of Knowledge Graphs with Embeddings” at the Hasso Plattner Institute! After months of delay, happy to be finally finishing this chapter of my life :-)
  • (01/08) Participating in the Knowledge Prompting Hackathon(https://king-s-knowledge-graph-lab.github.io/knowledge-prompting-hackathon/), a 5-day sprint style research activity being organized by our group from August 07 - 10 at King’s College London. Looking forward to mentoring students on the topic of LLMs for multi-modal knowledge acquisition and inferencing.

  • (25/06) I will be participating in the First Workshop on Multimodal AI in Sheffield on 27th June and presenting a pitch and poster on Semantic Interpretations of Multimodal Embeddings towards Explainable AI.

  • Attending the 2nd Annual Symposium of The Turing Interest Group on Knowledge Graphs at City, University of London on June 16th.

  • (05/09) Attending the AKBC 2022 conference in London to present a poster on our CIKM 2022 paper titled Discovering Fine-Grained Semantics in Knowledge Graph Relations.
  • (03/08) Paper on Discovering Fine-Grained Semantics in Knowledge Graph Relations accepted to the full paper track at CIKM 2022!
  • (10-15/07) Attending the NAACL 2022 conference online and presenting our paper on Semantics-driven Refinement for Relational Data at the SUKI workshop.
  • (04/07) Journal paper on Generation of Training Data for Named Entity Recognition of Artworks accepted for the Semantic Web Journal (preprint).
  • (30/06) Invited presentation titled Knowledge Graphs Representation and Reasoning with Embeddings at the SIGKG talks organized by the ILCC, University of Edinburgh.
  • Attending the Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC 2022) in Crete, Greece from May 29 to June 2; presenting our full paper at Text2KG workshop and our poster related to relation canonicalization (Update: Our poster was nominated for the best poster award!).
  • Serving as PC member for the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Digital Humanities (AI4DH2021), organized in conjunction with ICIAP 2021 and the workshop on Structured and Unstructured Knowledge Integration (SUKI2022) in conjunction with NAACL 2022.
  • Attending the Research School in Artificial Intelligence (AIB 22) to be held in Bergen, Norway from 7-11 June 2022. Also co-authored the tutorial on Neuro-Symbolic Methods for Fact Prediction with Fabian Suchanek, Armand Boschin and Gurami Kerechashvili.
  • (04/04) Poster on our research project with Maria Lomaeva on Relation Canonicalization in Open Knowledge Graphs: A Quantitative Analysis accepted at ESWC 2022!
  • (29/03) Paper on the automated construction of domain-specific knowledge graphs accepted at the Text2KG workshop, co-located with ESWC 2022 conference.
  • (22/03) Participated in the Alan Turing Institute Data Study Group showcased at the AI UK annual event held on 22-23 March.

  • Filed 2 patents on Ontology-driven Negative Sampling Generation for Embedding-based Knowledge Graph Completion with BCAI researchers.

2020

  • Joining the Natural Language Processing and Semantic Reasoning Group of the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (Renningen) as a PhD intern from October 2020 to January 2021.
  • (21-25/09/2020) Attended the prestigious Heidelberg Laureate Forum (Virtual HLF 2020).
  • (26-27-11-2019) Selected among HPI scholars to attend the European Women in Technology 2019 conference held in Amsterdam.
